Directions for Behavioral Studies The Life-span Development Lab is located within the first floor of the Department of Psychology (Building 420) at Stanford University. Official address From Highway 101 North or South Take University Avenue exit (West towards Palo Alto). Stay on University Avenue. When it crosses El Camino, it will turn into Palm Drive. Stay on Palm Drive until you reach the Oval. Continue around the Oval until you reach the top of it (the area closest to campus buildings). Pull into the loading zones. From Highway 280 North or South Exit Sand Hill Road east towards Stanford. Continue downhill (over 1 mile) and turn right on Arboretum Road. Then, take a right onto Palm Drive. Stay on Palm Drive until you reach the Oval. Continue around the Oval until you reach the top of it (the area closest to campus buildings). Pull into the loading zones. From El Camino Real Exit El Camino Real at University Avenue. Turn towards the hills (away from Palo Alto). Go over the overpass, University becomes Palm Drive. Palm Drive will turn into the Oval. Continue around the Oval until you reach the top of it (the area closest to campus buildings). Pull into the loading zones. Parking Park anywhere in the A lot after 4pm or on the weekends. If it is before 4pm, during a weekday, we will provide you with a Q-permit good for parking in the Q-spaces. Jordan Hall is on your right as you face the quad. Directions for fMRI Studies The Lucas Center is located on the Stanford Medical School campus near the Stanford Hospitol. Official Address From Highway 101 North or South Take the Embarcadero Road/West exit. Follow Embarcadero Road for about two miles. Cross El Camino Real, after which the road becomes Galvez Street. Turn right at Arboretum Road, left on Sand Hill Road, left on Pasteur Drive, and right onto Welch Road. The Lucas Center is immediately on your left. From Highway 280 North or South Take the Sand Hill Road exit and head east. Turn right on Pasteur Drive and right onto Welch Road. The Lucas Center is immediately on your left. From El Camino Real North or South Turn on Sand Hill Road. Turn left on Pasteur Drive and right onto Welch Road. The Lucas Center is immediately on your left. Parking After 5 pm and on weekends/holidays, park in any spot around the building. Before 5 pm on a weekday you need a parking permit: please park in one of the visitor's spots next to the building on Pasteur drive or, if no spot is available, in any available 'A' permit spot then call the person you are visitting from the campus phone outside the MSLS Building and you will be given a temporary parking permit.
