Research Interests

My research focuses on the role of learning in the visual perception of objects.

I am interested in how the brain changes when a previously unknown object takes on some meaning. Along these lines, I am investigating learning related changes in the spatial pattern of neural activation and the magnitude of neural responses. I am also interested in the generalization of neural responses following training to some particular object.

To address these issues, I employ a mix of fMRI and psychophysical methods.
