Announcing the Norman H. Anderson Research Fund

Dr. Norman Anderson, a distinguished psychologist at UCSD, has endowed the Anderson Research Fund in our psychology department. The interest and capital gains portion of this fund is to be spent on research by our graduate Ph.D. students. Allowable expenses include payment for human subjects (except for scanning time), buying small items of equipment or experimental supplies for a student's project, and travel to scientific conferences where the student is presenting a paper or poster. These funds are not intended to support coursework and, in general, will not be used to support students' attendance at training programs. Dr. Anderson had initially earmarked the funds for "experimental psychology," but his good friend, Gordon Bower, prevailed upon him to let us interpret the term broadly to cover any experimental work in the cognitive, neuroscience, developmen
