“Gender and Race Gatekeeping”
ABSTRACT: In this talk, Dr. Hebl will discuss her recent research examining the biases that affect women and racial minorities. These biases are often held by gatekeepers, individuals who have access to whom is allowed to advance within an organization or society. In addition to identifying these gatekeepers and the ubiquity of these biases, she will also offer recommendations as to their reduction at the individual and organizational levels.
